Public-link downloader
Facebook Reels Downloader
Download a publicly accessible Facebook reel as MP4 using its share link. No Facebook account or software installation is required.
Paste the reel
Paste the full public Facebook reel URL, generate the available MP4 option, and save it with your browser's normal download controls. Private, deleted, age-restricted, or region-restricted reels cannot be processed.
How to use this downloader
- Open the public reel in Facebook and copy the full share link.
- Paste the reel URL into the F4Facebook reels downloader.
- Generate the available MP4 result and save it with your browser's download controls.
Common questions
Which Facebook reels can this downloader process?
Only reels that are publicly viewable without a Facebook login. Friends-only, deleted, age-restricted, or region-restricted reels remain unavailable.
Why can a reel URL be recognized but still fail?
Recognition confirms the link format, not the reel's visibility. The underlying reel still has to remain public and available when F4Facebook checks it.
Save a Facebook reel to your device
Use this Facebook reel downloader to save a publicly accessible reel as an MP4 file. Copy the individual reel's Share link, paste it into the form above, and save the available result. The file's destination depends on your browser and device.
Download Facebook reels on iPhone
Open F4Facebook in Safari rather than Facebook's in-app browser. After downloading the MP4, check Safari Downloads or the Downloads folder in Files. To move it to Photos, open the file's share sheet and choose Save Video if that option is available. Follow the iPhone reel-saving steps if the file is difficult to find.
Download Facebook reels on Android
Open the reels downloader in Chrome, paste the public link, and save the supplied MP4. Look in Chrome Downloads or your phone's Files app first. A file can be downloaded successfully even if your Gallery app has not listed it. The Android reel-saving steps explain where to check.
Copy the reel's full link
A direct reel address usually contains /reel/. Facebook's Share menu may instead supply a complete /share/r/ address. Copy the whole HTTPS link, not the creator's profile or text from the caption. See the Facebook video and reel link guide for format examples. A recognised URL still needs to identify a public, available reel.
Understand video quality and sound
The available MP4 depends on the formats Facebook supplies for that reel. HD resolution and an audio track are not guaranteed. If the original plays with sound but the file is silent, check the missing-audio guidance. F4Facebook does not remove logos or text already present in the source video.
Saving a reel in Facebook is different from downloading it
Facebook's Save reel action bookmarks the post inside Facebook; it does not put an MP4 in your phone's Downloads folder. To keep a permitted local copy, open the saved reel, copy its individual Share link, and process that link here. The reel must still be publicly available.
If the reel opens in a video player
Your browser may play the MP4 instead of immediately saving it. Use the browser's download or save controls when offered, following the video-opens-instead-of-downloading steps. If Facebook itself says the reel is unavailable, copying the link again cannot restore deleted or restricted content.
