**Quick answer**

Open the individual public video, copy its Share link, process it at F4Facebook in Chrome, and select the available MP4. Use Chrome Downloads or the phone's Files app to locate the completed file.

## Before you start

Make sure the original post is visible while signed out and that saving it is permitted. A complete HTTPS video address is required; a Facebook profile, feed, search result, or caption link cannot identify the intended video. Check available device storage before starting a large download.

## Copy and process the link in Chrome

1. ### Open the individual post

In Facebook, open the video or reel player, choose Share, and select Copy link. If the copied address opens a profile, return to the individual player and try again.
2. ### Use a full browser tab

Open f4facebook.com directly in Chrome. Paste the HTTPS address into the downloader and select Download Video while keeping that tab open.
3. ### Save the available MP4

Select the result supplied for the public source. Chrome may show a confirmation, a notification, or an inline player depending on device and browser settings.

## Find the file in Chrome Downloads

Open Chrome's menu and choose Downloads to see files handled by the browser. Google explains that downloaded files are stored in the device's default download location and can also be found through the Files app. If the manufacturer supplies its own file manager, it may be named My Files, File Manager, Downloads, or something similar.

The default download location can be internal storage or another user-selected folder. F4Facebook does not choose that location and cannot move a finished file between Android folders.

## If Chrome opens the MP4

Chrome can play supported video formats instead of immediately saving them. Follow the [video-opens troubleshooting steps](https://f4facebook.com/facebook-video-not-downloading#download-button-opens-video), use the player's download control when available, or open the browser menu and choose the relevant download action. Long-press behavior differs between browser versions, so follow the controls shown by the current device rather than installing a download extension.

## Leave the Facebook in-app browser when needed

An embedded browser can restrict storage prompts, new tabs, or file handling. Open the F4Facebook page in Chrome, Firefox, Edge, or another current full browser. If Android reports that the download was blocked, review Chrome's download notification and the device's storage settings before generating another result.

## What F4Facebook cannot change on Android

- It cannot override private, login-only, age, or regional Facebook access.
- It cannot rename a manufacturer's file application or alter the default folder.
- It cannot recover deleted video, add absent audio, or manufacture a missing HD source.
- It never needs Facebook credentials, cookies, tokens, or copied page source.

## Check the source before saving

Only download content you own or have permission to use. If you need the exact public URL first, read the [copy-link guide](https://f4facebook.com/how-to-copy-facebook-video-link). For error-specific help, use the [troubleshooting guide](https://f4facebook.com/facebook-video-not-downloading).

## Common questions

### Where is the downloaded Facebook video stored on Android?

The file usually appears in Chrome Downloads or the device Files app, depending on the browser and device storage settings.

### Why can Chrome open the video instead of saving it?

Chrome can play MP4 files inline. Use the browser's download action or file manager rather than retrying the same result repeatedly.
